Fluoride–alkali type sintered fluxes have a complex and diverse composition, comprising numerous elements and compounds. Fluorine is a key constituent, imparting chemical reactivity and reducing surface tension, which in turn enhances the wettability and fluidity of the welding process. Alkali metal elements, on the other hand, improve the flux’s electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, thereby promoting stable arc combustion during welding.

In addition to fluorine and alkali metal elements, fluoroalkaline sintered fluxes also contain several other constituents. These components interact with one another, collectively influencing the flux’s performance and the quality of the weld. For example, certain oxides can enhance the metallurgical properties of the flux, promoting the solidification and crystallization of the weld metal; while some carbonates can adjust the flux’s acidity or alkalinity to meet varying welding requirements.

In-depth research into the composition of fluorine–alkali–type sintered fluxes helps us better understand their mechanisms of action and performance characteristics. By precisely controlling the proportions and contents of the constituent elements, we can optimize the flux’s performance to meet the requirements of various welding processes. At the same time, such compositional studies provide a theoretical foundation for the improvement and innovation of fluxes, thereby driving the continuous advancement of welding technology.

Through a series of experiments and analyses, scientists have continuously explored the mysteries of the composition of fluoroalkaline sintered fluxes. Employing advanced analytical techniques, they have precisely determined and investigated the various constituents of these fluxes. These research findings have not only deepened our understanding of fluoroalkaline sintered fluxes but also provided robust support for their practical applications.

In practical applications, the selection of the composition of fluorine–alkali–type sintered flux is of paramount importance. Different welding materials and welding conditions require corresponding flux compositions to achieve optimal welding results. Therefore, flux manufacturers must carefully formulate flux compositions in accordance with market demands and customer requirements, ensuring that the performance and quality meet users’ expectations.

With the continuous advancement of technology, research on the composition of fluorine–alkali–based sintered fluxes will also deepen. New compositional formulations and optimization strategies will continually emerge, presenting both new opportunities and challenges for the development of welding technologies. We are confident that, in the future, fluorine–alkali–based sintered fluxes will continue to play a vital role in industrial production and technological innovation, making even greater contributions to these fields.
