On the morning of September 22, Xiaoguan Town solemnly held the unveiling ceremony for the flux research and production base of China Shipbuilding Group Wuhan Tiema Welding Materials Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou Fenghuang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. in the third-floor conference room of Zhengzhou Fenghuang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. Attendees included corporate representatives from Wuhan Tiema Welding Materials Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou Fenghuang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., as well as Wang Yueju, Member of the Standing Committee of the Gongyi Municipal Party Committee, Head of the Municipal Industrial Development Leading Group, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Municipal Industrial Clustering Zone and Director of its Management Committee, and Secretary of the Party Committee of Huiguo Town; Liu Xueming, Director of the Gongyi Municipal Bureau of Commerce; Xu Huoyan, Secretary of the Xiaoguan Town Party Committee; and Han Bing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Town Mayor.

Zhang Hongwei, Chairman of Zhengzhou Fenghuang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., and He Tao, Deputy General Manager of Wuhan Tie’ao Welding Materials Co., Ltd., delivered welcoming remarks. Zhengzhou Fenghuang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., as an outstanding representative of enterprises in Xiaoguan Town, is a manufacturer of submerged-arc welding fluxes that integrates research and development, production, and sales. The company has successively been recognized as the “Engineering Technology Research Center for New Submerged-Arc Welding Materials” at the provincial and municipal levels, a National High-Tech Enterprise, and a National “Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative Little Giant” enterprise. Wuhan Tie’ao Welding Materials Co., Ltd., the sole high-tech enterprise under China Shipbuilding Group that integrates the R&D, production, and sales of welding materials with the procurement and operation of their raw and auxiliary materials, has continuously expanded along the strategic framework of “one core, two wings, three locations, and six major industrial segments.” As a result, the company has firmly established itself among the leading players in China’s welding materials industry and has become the most competitive, modern welding materials enterprise in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River region. The strong partnership between these two companies will undoubtedly provide robust support for promoting high-quality development of the industrial economy in our town and throughout Gongyi City.

Xu Huoyan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xiaoguan Town, delivered a speech at the unveiling ceremony. Secretary Xu emphasized that technological innovation is an intrinsic requirement for enterprise development and progress in the new context—it is both an urgent priority and a long-term strategic imperative. He expressed the hope that the two enterprises would join forces as industry leaders, leveraging their respective strengths to achieve complementary advantages, fully capitalize on their expertise and talent pools, focus on critical bottlenecks in key industrial links, break through core technologies and bridge the “zero-connection” gap between R&D and industry, and ensure that research outcomes take root and flourish in Xiaoguan, thereby generating robust productive forces.

Following the ceremony, attendees toured the Phoenix Technology plant.
